Thomas Spalding Sympson, DDS

Dr. Sympson brings a commendable and extensive career of 30 years in the US Army Dental Corp. He was commissioned into the United States Army as a Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship Recipient, Second Lieutenant, and Distinguished Military Graduate in 1986. He graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Sympson completed his residency and received his certification for Orthodontic Specialist from Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio in 1999.

In 2008, Dr. Sympson reached Colonel status and served as Chief of Orthodontic Services in Italy. He also served four years as an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics, at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Army Postgraduate, Dental School.

Dr. Sympson received many awards during his military career which include, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and maintains membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwest Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, American Association of Military Orthodontists.
