Samantha has been a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) for 10 years. Prior to her role as a NNP, she was a NICU Registered Nurse for 7 years and an NICU Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for a year and a half as she was completing nursing school at UTHSCSA. Since early childhood she knew that helping others was a passion of hers. Once she started working in the NICU, as a PCA, she knew that she had found her place in the world and has not left the NICU since. She has been with UTHSCSA and University Hospital for a total of 9 years.
