Dr. Steven Seidner, M.D. is Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics. He has been at UTHSCSA since 1989 and was Division Chief of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine from 2000-2019. His research has focused on pulmonary surfactant, lung maturational agents, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, patent ductus arteriosus, and mesenchymal stromal cell therapy to prevent lung injury. He is a neonatologist in San Antonio, Texas who is currently affiliated with University Health System.
