Integrity, diligence, perseverance, and discipline are the core principles that define me as a person. "The best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered"; this eloquent dictum from Dr. William J. Mayo has shaped my work ethics as a physician. As such, I believe that a competent physician must be entirely devoted – in heart, mind, and spirit – to the care of his patients. A physician who is empowered with the knowledge and experience can make a difference in his patients‘ lives and gain their trust. Medicine is a life-long learning process. To become a great teacher, one should nurture his love of learning. Scott Hayden described this exquisitely in his powerful quote "Teachers have three loves: love of learning, love of learners, and the love of bringing the first two loves together."
