A sterling Nursing professor, Air Force veteran, and women’s health nurse with over 15 years of innovative experience. During the pandemic, was integral in screening for COVID-19- symptoms to reduce the spread of the coronavirus within the UT-Health Science Center and out-reaching community. A Doctor of Nursing Practice, and member of The Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) presented at their national conference the importance of standardized screening for postpartum depression. I am thrilled to collaborate with the UT- Health system in building the confidence of our future nurses. As an educator, responsible for preparing nursing students to reach their greatest potential with evidence-based practice pedagogy to meet the local healthcare needs.
