Deepu Kurian, Ph.D., M.B.A., M.S.

Associate Dean for Finance and Administration

Deepu Kurian is the Associate Dean of Finance and Administration at UT School of Public Health San Antonio. He also holds an Assistant Professor for Research appointment with SPH.  As the Associate Dean, Deepu is responsible for the marshaling and allocation of the human, financial, and capital resources needed to support the mission of the School of Public Health. Prior to joining UT Health, Deepu served as the Executive Director of Academic Affairs and Business Operations at University of Houston.

Deepu completed his Ph.D. in Human Resources Development from Texas A & M University. Deepu also holds a Master of Science in Management from Houston Christian University (formerly HBU) and an MBA from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India. He completed his undergraduate studies from Bangalore University, India. His research interests are in the areas of leadership, organizational justice, and human resources development. Deepu considers himself as a scholar practitioner and has authored or co-authored numerous research articles and conference papers. Deepu has over 25 years of professional experience with stints in higher education, hospitality, real estate, healthcare, and information technology industries.
