Dr. Saket Kottewar is a published, board-certified Hospitalist who joined UT Health San Antonio in December 2016 as an Assistant Professor/Clinical, rising to the rank of Associate Professor/Clinical; he currently serves as the Section Chief of Hospital Medicine and Medical Director for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Operations at the University Hospital. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Government Medical College of Nagpur, India in 2006 before going on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in 2014. Dr. Kottewar also holds a Master of Public Health and Master of Health Administration from the University of Missouri at Columbia, both of which he earned in 2011. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is an active member of the American College of Physicians as well as the Society of Hospital Medicine
